Aspendos Ancient Theater, located 94 kilometers from Alanya on the Antalya-Alanya road, is one of the most visited monumental structures in the region. This massive theater, which hosts numerous international cultural and artistic events, especially during the summer months, was built by the Romans in the 2nd century BC and attracts visitors from around the world as one of the best-preserved ancient theaters in existence.
Reflecting the classic Roman architectural style, Aspendos Ancient Theater was originally used for rituals, theatrical performances, and special celebrations. With a capacity of 20,000 people, it is one of Turkey’s largest ancient theaters that has managed to remain intact to this day.
